Jumbo Valley Resort
The government seems to enjoy everyone on their toes these days! After the cabinet shuffle, Jumbo landed not in the Ministry of Tourism, but in the newly created Ministry of Natural Resource Operations, led by Minister Thomson (former Minister of Agriculture and Land and first elected an MLA in May 2009).
Responsibility for the file (and the decision) remains with Assistant Deputy Minister Peter Walters - he shifted ministries too. Conveniently, the new Ministry has no contact information, however, it's important to keep our opposition coming into them via email, letter, fax, phone call.
A local group called Jumbo Wild Forever have been working hard on this file for years. They are still expecting a decision on Jumbo before Christmas. More than 2000 emails have gone in from the JumboWild website. Can you go to the site and send yours? Tell the government to say no to the JGR! www.jumbowild.com/act
