Income Tax Credits for Your Donation
If you pay provincial income tax, you will receive a substantial tax credit for donating to the Green Party of BC:

Notes:
- Tax credits are calculated on the sum total of the contributor's annual donations. Party membership fees are considered donations by Elections BC, eligible for tax credits. Tax receipts are provided to monthly Evergreen donors at the year end for the sum total of the annual donations, plus any one-time donations.
- The Green Party is required to report to Elections BC the names of donors whose donations total more than $250 in any one calendar year. These names are made public. Donations totaling $250 or less are not made public.
- The maximum annual BC tax credit for political donations is $500 per person which is received with a donation of $1150 in one calendar year. There is no limit on how much money an individual or business can donate to a political party in BC.
- These tax credits also apply to businesses.
