Rebecca Helps - Biography

Rebecca Helps graduated from Simon Fraser University in 2001 with a bachelors degree in Business Administration. After graduating Rebecca worked for Yellow Pages Group, starting in the Operations department as a clerk and working up a position as a Senior Manager in the Marketing department. The majority of the nearly seven years Rebecca work at Yellow Pages Group was in the Information Technology depart as a business analyst. Helping to design and implement a wide range of systems that aided the operations department.

After leaving Yellow Pages Group Rebecca started consulting for businesses on their systems needs and helped with system implementation and process change. She helped BC Housing develop and implement the system shelters and homeless outreach programs use to report the number of clients they server. She also worked with a number of small businesses to help them implement systems to run their daily operational and marketing needs.

In the Spring of 2009 Rebecca become interested in politics and ran a candidate for the Green Party of BC in the May 2009 election. She also ran in the Fall of 2009 in a federal by-election.

Since becoming the Executive Director in April 2010 Rebecca has upgraded the party's information systems and developed clear marketing strategies.
